Verjee House, South Kensington, London

Our client and his wife are busy international travellers and art collectors and purchased this home to give them a place where they can create a quiet refuge surrounded  by their artwork when visiting London.  They were keen to  have a design which can be a neutral backdrop to the art while at the same time concealing their belongings out of sight.

This is a ground floor garden apartment in a Victorian mansion terrace in the heart of the city and needed total renovation and modification including removal and installation of floors and space planning of new rooms.  The study which doubles as a guest bedroom opens up into the living area by a full height sliding wall. Many of the original period features were retained while incorporating contemporary fixtures and fittings.
